Here follows a few photos I took during our visit to Old Salem in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Each turn of the cobblestone-paved corner revealed the most charming 100-200 year old houses I've ever encountered, all in pristine condition. We visited tannery workshops and the gunsmith's shed and watched artisans at work using colonial methods and tools. This trip was taken during the freshest part of October when the air is still pleasantly warm and just enough leaves have fallen to signal the change of the season.
